Weekly Geeks #24 Again and again

Dan Brown (born June 22, 1964) is an American author of thriller fiction, best known for the 2003 bestselling novel, The Da Vinci Code and the 2000 bestselling novel, Angels and Demons.

Brown is interested in cryptography, keys, and codes, which are a recurring theme in his stories. Currently his novels have been translated into more than 40 languages.

Although many perceive Brown's books as anti-Christian, Brown states on his website that he is a Christian and says of his book The Da Vinci Code that it is simply "an entertaining story that promotes spiritual discussion and debate" and suggests that the book may be used "as a positive catalyst for introspection and exploration of our faith".

Interesting choice of author. The one thing I would like to know is when is his next book actually going to come out. It was originally due out a couple of years ago I believe!

I have read the DaVinci code (like probably the rest of us) and was very entertained. Then I read that other one...Angels and Demons...and wasn't impressed at all. Now I am aware that Angels and Demons was actually written before the DVC, but I really did not care that much for it. Anyway, I would also be interested in knowing when he writes a new book. Its not that he has to, he can probably live off the royalties from DVC until the end of time, but it must be an enormous pressure to know that you have to come up with something new, something that will impress the readers as they were impressed by DVC.
