Heartfelt thanks!

Thank You Lord God!

for

continuously loving us

despite our wrong doings.

Gruesome Defense!!!

Yesterday, I with my group mates Ana Lorena Ramos, Iola Vianka PiƱon, Romina Berja and Jay-Ar Ampongan faced the panel and discussed our paper entitled: "The 2007 Recall of Chinese Products from the Market: It's Effect to the Small Medium Enterprise in Binondo, Manila. The panel is composed of Sir Pascua (the Department of Political Science and Public Administration Chairperson), Sir Elmer Soriano and Sir Vera Cruz ( the panel head) in the College of Economics, Finance and Politics Learning Resource Center (CEFP-LRC).

I was very nervous because Vianka was late so I had to discussed the Chapter 1 (which I'm not quite ready to discussed). I thank God because she came at the middle of my talk about the Conceptual Paradigm, immediately, I called her to continue the discussions.

The oral presentation goes well but the panelist really asked a lot of difficult questions. After the series of interpulation, they asked us to go outside for their deliberation about our presentation.
Waiting for us to be called is very frightening.

After a few minutes, we are called then the verdict is delivered:

PASSED!!!

I really can't explain how I felt yesterday, I feel like jumping, shouting! Everything felt so damned good!!! Though we have to revised some parts of our thesis, I really dont care because we passed the gruesome defense!!!!

Federalism

Last Thursday, I attended the seminar about Federalism. Most of you know about it but for the betterment of those who doesn't Federalism is a system of government wherein power and sovereignty is decentralized.

Decentralization has two forms: Devolution which is the transfer or granting of power from the national or central government to the local government in which in federalism it is called state and the next is Deconcentration is the transfer of administrative responsibility from the national or central government to the local government or the state.

In Federalism, there will be more autonomy given to the local government in terms of policy making and trade, they will have the opportunity to improve, cultivate and modernized their respective territorial jurisdiction.

On the other hand, there will be a huge possibility of the massive existence of political clans that will prolong the so called political dynasty in the Philippines.

All in all, the seminar was successful. I enjoy watching the debate and learned a lot about the discussions on Federalism though Senator Aquilino 'Nene' Pimentel, the current Senate Minority Leader, supposed to be the speaker but he weren't able to come because of some matters needed to be addressed in the Senate but our very admirable and knowledgable professor, Prof. Terry Dumogho talked in his behalf.

I commend all the people (organizing committee) behind the conduct of the seminar namely the students of BPAG 4-1 (where I belong) and BPAG 4-3.

Lastly, I leave to you the comment of Dr. Zenaida Pia that is further tackled by Ma'am Digna Ortega in her reaction:

" Is Federalism a way to progress?

or

Is Federalism away to progress?"

I am Me

In all the world, there is no one else exactly like me.
There are persons who have some parts like me, but no one adds up
exactly like me.
Therefore, everything that comes out of me id authentically mine,
because I alone chose it.
I own everything about me, my body, including everything it does;
my mind, including all its thoughts and ideas; my feelings,
whatever they may be - anger, joy, frustrations, love,
disappointment, excitement; my mouth, and all the words that
come out of it - polite, sweet, or rough, correct or
incorrect; my voice - loud or soft and all my actions,
whether they be to others or to myself.
I own my fantasies, my dreams, my hopes, my fears.
I own all my triumphs and successes, all my failures and mistakes.
Because I own all of me, I can become intimately acquainted with me.
By so doing i can love me, and be friendly with me and all my parts.
I can then make it possible for all of me to work in my best interest.
I know there are aspects about myself that puzzle me, and other
aspects that I do not know.
But as long as I am friendly and loving to myself, I can
courageously and hopefully look for the solutions to the
puzzle and for ways to find out more about me.
However I look and sound, whatever i say or do, and whatever I
think and feel at a given moment and time is me.
This is authentic and represents where i am at that moment in time.
When I review late how I looked and sounded, what i said and
did, and how I thought and felt, some parts may turn out to
be unfitting.
I can discard which is unfitting and keep which proved
fitting, and invent something new for that which I
discarded.
I can see, hear, feel, thing, say, and do.
I have the tools to survive, to be close to others, to be
productive, and to make sense and order, out of the work of
people and things outside of me.
I own me, and therefore i can engineer me.
I am me and I am okay.

Who am I?

Sometimes a simple question seems like the hardest question to answer like someone asking you who are you? telling your name will answer the question right!!! But if you ask yourself, Who am I? Hey! you cannot just answer it like I am Tom or Jane or whatever your name is, this question seeks what kind of person you are. Are you a peeping Tom, the coolest girl on the block, the dorky neighbor, or maybe a high class socialite. Only you can answer the question isn't it? You know the hardest part of it! A lot of people out there don't really know who they are!!!

The Answer to Takeshi's question

To answer the question of Takeshi about where I learn Nihongo in one of my post last December:

Well, I studied Nihongo when I was 2nd and 3rd year in College. The university offered a class for free!!! as in for free! free books, free teachers etc., all you have to pay is your transportation fees, ball pen and a notebook for chatting down. So, I grab the opportunity to learn the language and writing hiragana, katakana and a little kanji. Luckily I passed the Nihongo 1-4 with flying colors!!!

Honestly, I don't really know if my Nihongo is good or not because I haven't use it to communicate to other person aside from my Nihongo classmate and sensei.

Lastly, thank you for commenting in my blog. I really appreciate it!!!

Happy Reading!!!

Dragonology

The Year of the Ox begins on 26th January 2009.

This will be a year of enriched personal relationships. Family life is predominant throughout 2009 and will be more harmonious than perhaps was expected.

For the Dragon, the year of the Ox brings a busy, active and demanding time. You may have been hoping to enjoy a more relaxed and easy year but almost immediately you will find that a lot is being expected from you. Both from your family and loved-ones and those outside your immediate circle.

Career Trends for Dragons in 2009

A new job may be more difficult than you had expected and although you will be of the opinion that you have “made your bed and now you must lie in it” this will cause problems as you try to continue with other more personal obligations.

Problems that look minor and inconsequential could turn out to be complicated and time-consuming to fix. Little things that go wrong at the start of the year sound costly to repair but there is a note of caution in your stars. Be advised that if you are calling in a plumber, electrician or builder, take the trouble to get more than one estimate for the work. Better still choose someone who has a reputation for doing a good, clean job at a reasonable price. Deceit is in the air so do beware.

Friendships and Romance for Dragons in 2009

Friendships of all descriptions will benefit during the first three months of the year if you make a little extra effort to be both polite and understanding. Sometimes it is not what you say to others that’s important but the way that you say it.

Remember that your body has a language all of its own and this could be contradicting the words that come out of your mouth. Honesty and sincerity will do a lot to bring you closer together and to firm up your closest relationships.

April is a good month to iron out the wrinkles in a tense friendship or recently begun romance. There is potential for growth in this relationship but you must both be willing to meet each other at least sixty percent of the way. This is also a time when you should keep your sights firmly fixed on your personal hopes and objectives.

Mid-Year Trends for Dragons 2009

You are challenged to come up with some new ideas within your professional environment as May begins. A new approach is what’s needed to breathe fresh life into a project that has seen better days. Stretch your mental powers and you will be amazed at what your mind conjures up. Not only this but whatever the outcome for the job, personally, you will gain a lot from the experience.

You will want something different out of your days during the middle of the year and this suggests that ordinary household routines and even regular career demands will be avoided. You will be glad to make the most of anything that crops up from out of the blue that provides the escape you are looking for.

Relationships too seem to lack the excitement you crave and this suggests that you might be travelling further afield or making efforts to widen your social circle.

End of the Year Trends 2009 for Dragons

As you can imagine, you might not get your own way all of the time and September in particular, is a month when there may be a number of misunderstandings. However, opportunities as September ends will take you down some unfamiliar roads and there will be a lot of excitement in store at your journey’s end.

Problems in the family could arise during the last three months of the year because you find it difficult to fit all commitments into your days. Responsibilities are heavy and therefore you might find yourself relying more and more on someone close to help you out. At first, they won’t mind. But if such a situation continues for more than two months, an ultimatum will be offered. You must find a way to balance work and social responsibilities with family commitments.

Generally, your family will be supportive throughout the year and you wil be able to rely on them, no matter what they might say to the contrary.

My 1st post in 2009

New Year's eve is the best!!!

My relatives came to our house to spend the new year's eve with us. We prepared spaghetti, caldereta, graham cake tiramisu style, slice bread, fruits, and orange juice because soft drinks are prohibited. We attended the mass at 8:30 pm to thank the Lord for the blessings he gave us in 2008 and also ask him to give more blessings in 2009. As the countdown reach zero and officially 2009 started we light some lusis and fountain. When you look up in the sky you'll see different fireworks displayed. It's so beautiful!!! Our very generous neighbors gave us pancit, palabok, biko, calamay, salad etc. All in all our celebration in welcoming 2009 is very successful and fun!!!

To everyone:

Happy New Year!!!

May the Lord God give us more blessings in 2009!!!
